A 9-year-old boy was killed by a fire that broke out inside his family’s Ozone Park home during the early hours Wednesday morning.

Remi Miguel Gomez Hernandez was found unconscious inside a 3-story housing complex at 81-19 102nd Rd. by firefighters shorty after the fire broke out at around 2 a.m. The boy was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Ten other civilians and one firefighter were hurt in the blaze, although none suffered life threating injuries. They were all take to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, according to the FDNY.

The fire, which officials believe broke out in the basement, was brought under control by around 2:30 a.m. Twelve FDNY units, including 60 firefighters, responded to the scene.

The FDNY is investigating the cause of the fire.

Police are looking for three suspects who allegedly beat and stabbed a 20-year-old man inside a Queens Village auto body shop earlier this month, leaving him seriously injured.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Apr. 7, when the victim was inside the autobody shop, located at 210-08 Jamaica Ave., and was bumped by a stranger. Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village reported that the victim and stranger then got into a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation.
