The urgent care provider CityMD opened a center in Woodhaven Tuesday marking its 18th location in Queens.

The company has taken space at 91-07 Jamaica Avenue and is providing services ranging from physical exams, pediatric care, lab tests, and treatment for injuries and illnesses.

“We are honored that the good people of Queens have chosen CityMD as a trusted name for medical emergencies and care. During our evaluation of the area, we learned that many patients from Woodhaven previously went to a CityMD in either Forest Hills or Ozone Park,” said Vincent Campasano, MD, CityMD’s Chief Operating Officer

CityMD has opened several locations this year, including in Springfield Gardens, Queens Village and Sunnyside. The company now has 148 locations, all within the New York metro area.

Each CityMD location is staffed primarily by board-certified emergency medicine doctors. The clinics accept most insurance.

CityMD caters to patients with a whole host of medical conditions — including treatment for upper respiratory infections, colds and flu, asthma, allergies, minor lacerations, sore throats, insect bites and rashes, among other conditions.

On-site doctors are able to diagnose and treat pink eye, croup, minor orthopedic injuries, and nosebleeds. Rapid testing for flu, strep throat, mononucleosis, UTIs and other conditions are also among available services.

CityMD continues to offer three forms of COVID-19 testing at all locations – Rapid, PCR and Antibody Testing.

The new site, which is open seven days a week, will be open year-round and no appointment is needed.

The hours are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
