Man Punches 62-Year-Old Woman in the Throat on Train in Jackson Heights

A man punched a 62-year-old woman in the throat onboard a southbound E train last month as it was approaching the Broadway/Roosevelt Avenue train station.

The suspect, believed to be in his twenties, allegedly approached the woman on the subway at around 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 and punched her.

The unknown man then fled the train at the Broadway/Roosevelt Avenue stop and boarded a northbound F train.

A police spokesperson was unsure what the motive for the attack was– if any.

The victim sustained an injury to her neck, but refused medical treatment at the scene.

The suspect is described as being around 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, blue shirt, dark colored pants and was carrying a dark colored backpack.

The police have released a photo of the suspect.

Police are looking for three suspects who allegedly beat and stabbed a 20-year-old man inside a Queens Village auto body shop earlier this month, leaving him seriously injured.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Apr. 7, when the victim was inside the autobody shop, located at 210-08 Jamaica Ave., and was bumped by a stranger. Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village reported that the victim and stranger then got into a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation.
