A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Jamaica early Friday.

The victim, a 60-year-old woman, was hit by an unidentified vehicle while walking on the eastbound Belt Parkway near 150th Street at around 3:10 a.m., according to police.

The woman was struck by the driver of the vehicle who then fled the scene, police said.

Responding police found the woman lying on the median strip of the highway with trauma to her body. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene, cops said.

Police do not know why the woman was on the highway at the time of the collision.

The victim’s identity has not been released, pending family notification.

There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are looking for three suspects who allegedly beat and stabbed a 20-year-old man inside a Queens Village auto body shop earlier this month, leaving him seriously injured.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Apr. 7, when the victim was inside the autobody shop, located at 210-08 Jamaica Ave., and was bumped by a stranger. Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village reported that the victim and stranger then got into a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation.
