The police discovered a decomposed body in a parked car on Merrick Boulevard in Queens Sunday.

Officers from the 113th Precinct came across the grisly sight after receiving a 911 call at around 5 p.m. Aug. 29 that there was an unconscious person inside a Chevrolet Impala in front of a barber shop at 130-29 Merrick Blvd. in Rochdale. Sources say that the body was found in the trunk of the vehicle.

The police did not reveal how long the corpse had been in the car and have yet to identify the body. However, it is believed to be a man and there were no signs of trauma.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
