The NYPD is looking for a group of teenagers allegedly involved in a series of armed robberies that took place outside two elementary schools in the Richmond Hill section of Queens last month.

Police said the teenagers would go online and offer to sell the victims a bicycle—and would then rob them when they met up to make the sale.

The robberies, five in total, took place between May 8 and May 31 near P.S 62, located at 97-25 108 St., and by P.S. 56., 86-10 114 St., police said.

Suspects (NYPD)

In each case, the suspects would arrange to sell the victims a bicycle through the online classified app “OfferUp.” When the victims arrived at the location, the group brandish weapons before stealing their cash and property.

Police are looking for 5 or 6 suspects, described as being about 14 to 16 years old. The NYPD released photos and a video of the suspects. In the video, a teenager is seen running down the street with a gun.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
